Challenging myself for the benefit of others
A quick tour of my recent charity events and potential future challenges.

24 hour marathon
Starting at 5pm immediately after work on a Friday afternoon my wife and I ran 1 mile an hour every hour for 24 hours with some top-up miles thrown in to reach the 26.2 marathon distance.
In doing so we raised over £3000 for our local charity of choice Me & Dee who help create memorable moments for families coping with life-limiting and life-shortening conditions.
We ran through the night and kept ourselves and our supporters entertained with fancy dress, a rave run, running a mile in each other’s shoes and even running backwards.
It was an incredible experience and something we would happily repeat.
Thanks to all of those who supported, donated and shared our story to raise much-needed funds for this amazing charity.

Racing across the South Atlantic in 17 days with no prior experience!
In 2019 I stepped on to a sailboat for the very first time. Fast forward 4 weeks and I had completed my basic training. Fast forward 3 more weeks and I had raced across my first ocean!
Joining the crew of Punta del Este as part of the Clipper 2019/20 Round the World Yacht Race raising money for Unicef was the most amazing experience of my life…so far.
